RECORD STORE DAY

The day is almost here! Tomorrow is Record Store Day. Its a day to get out and celebrate your local independent record stores.  Basically some of today’s hottest bands and groups pay homage to fans of vinyl by releasing new albums, special pressings, unreleased tracks, and exclusive limited run vinyls. Its really an awesome event with over 700 stores in the U.S. taking part. I’ll be out at Good Records in Dallas tomorrow. And let me tell you, they know how to throw a heck of a party. Besides lots of fresh vinyl they will be having bands playing all day and into the night. They are also raffling off a very choice 70’s model jukebox. I recommend checking it out. No matter what you do, get out there tomorrow and support your local record stores.

What im about.

I’m a firm believer that music can speak to ones soul. Regardless of what type of music a person likes there is at least one song that you can feel in your bones. I happen to like a lot of music. Vinyl records in particular. Sometimes new and sometimes old, I love it all. I suppose a blog should have a goal, a mission statement even. Something that says, “This is what I’m about.” I don’t know if I’m there yet. This blog will be about music, that I can tell you. But it might be about much more, only time will tell.
